Today's the day...

Up early today to sort out a few last things at the office and get the remaining items of aid ready for loading onto the wagon. Pouring with rain and 9oC, so the weather can only get better. I did a radio interview on the BBC Leeds breakfast show (Podcast:
http://www.podcastfm.co.uk/122060629548c0f856887c3.mp3) which was fun and am shortly heading off to pick up the wagon. Have to swing by Elland Road on the way to pick up a new Leeds shirt for the liaison chap in Bulgaria who is a Leeds fan - good lad!

I should say thanks at this stage to everyone at Simpson Millar who has helped with the preparation for the convoy, particularly Amanda Davis, Chris Murphy, Lenka Biscombe, Alex Newman, Kate Varley and Lisa Sheldon.

Thanks also to all those companies who have assisted with donations or made goods available to us at a discounted price. Your generosity is much appreciated. Finally, thanks to the IT boys for providing our mascot - Millar the Meerkat who will be riding on the dashboard with us.

Ricki said she wants to drive the wagon onto the ferry this afternoon. She then said she has never driven a car onto the ferry and kept bumping into the kerb on her test !! Log on tonight to see if we make it safely onto the ferry and on our way to the continent....
